Back from Otakon (Quick Update)
A super quick note. I’m mad exhausted and need to sleep for a week, haha! I’ll upload some more pics and stories soon, but I really wanted to convey gratitude for a really great weekend in spite of several hiccups!
It was so fantastic getting to meet so many of you at Otakon this year! It was my first try at the Dealer Room and to those of you who were able to find me- Thanks! Also a ton of thank yous to my fellow friends and artists who supported me and encouraged me as well as to the Otakon Staff for making my How to Draw Chibi Workshop a huge success!!! I had quite the learning experience in the DR, and while I didn’t really make money due to my location being kind of a black hole and a lot of extra expenses, I can say that sometimes it’s not always about “the Money”.
Thanks to you awesome kickstarter backers, I was able to pay for the table to have this fantastic learning experience and to be able to meet a lot of new people. It’s great just to have positive response to my art and to be able to be in an awesome environment like Otakon! One never knows what one can accomplish unless one just goes out and tries it. You might not always be a super star on your first try, but the knowledge and new friends that I’ve made along the way made it such a great and positive experience!!! (ps… I had a chance b/c of the shorter DR hours to actually go to an autographing and got to meet Shinchiro Wantanabe ad gave him some of my art!!!! I’m still on cloud 9 over that!!!!)
